Design project of a house on Lisova

The house on Lisova has a total area of 240 sq.m. The interior design was chosen in the style of modern classic. It combines subdued colors, minimalist furniture with the use of innovative lighting and accessories. Thus, an effect of a volumetric space was created, forming a cozy and unobtrusive atmosphere.

General Information about the Object

The house consists of the following rooms:

  • four bedrooms;
  • two bathrooms;
  • a children’s room;
  • a living room with a separate kitchen;
  • a large terrace;
  • utility rooms.

The client’s task was to create a modern interior with subdued colors. It should be both functional and harmoniously integrated into a cohesive concept.

Living Room Design

The basic color for the room design was white. The universal color palette is presented by white walls and a stretched ceiling with integrated spotlights. Special attention deserves a pendant chandelier with a golden tint, designed in the form of four rings of different sizes. Additional lighting for the dining area and hallway is provided by two more pendant chandeliers. In one, a golden frame combines with crystal “drops,” and in the other – a crystal oval with a golden insert.

To create a cozy atmosphere for relaxation or receiving guests, the living room is furnished with the following elements:

  • green straight sofa along with two armchairs of the same solid color;
  • round coffee table with a golden metal base and a white ceramic tabletop;
  • work desk to the right of the fireplace, above which is a convenient shelf for storing books or other items.

The floor is covered with wooden parquet boards. Gray sliding wallpaper allows regulating access to natural sunlight in the living room. In the dining area of the living room is a classic table with a golden V-shaped leg. The ceramic tabletop provides enough space for setting the table for four people. The four chairs at the table reflect the usual color scheme – green and golden colors.

For the living room design, white, green, and golden colors were chosen, which are reflected throughout – in furniture, lighting fixtures, accessories, wall, and ceiling decorations. Elements in classical geometric shapes such as circles, ovals, or rectangles are used.

Kitchen Finishing

The separate kitchen continues the concept of using white and golden colors, which was chosen for the living room. The space consists of the following functional zones:

  • Cooking area. Represented by a wide white surface with an integrated induction hob, sink, and oven. In the middle is a window with light Roman blinds.
  • Dining area. In the center is a white rectangular table for four people. Nearby are chairs with high metal legs and low backs.
  • Storage area. It includes a high transparent shelf with seven tiers for dishes and other utensils. White kitchen cabinetry with integrated drawers.

The kitchen is separated from the living room by double doors with glass inserts. Above the table is an elegant chandelier designed as five interconnected golden rings. The flooring is covered with brown parquet boards. The walls are decorated to resemble natural stone.

Bathroom

The two bathrooms are equipped with a shower cabin, a wall-mounted toilet, and a bidet. Nearby is a towel dryer. The washing area is presented by an integrated ceramic sink. Next to it is a glass cabinet for accessories, two sockets, and a light switch. The overall decoration of the walls and floor is ceramic tiles resembling natural stone.

The bathroom interior features light colors that serve as a central theme throughout the house. The shower cabin is made of transparent brown glass, and the shower, mixer, and other elements are in black. There is also a large mirror with neon lighting around the perimeter in the bathroom. General lighting is provided by spotlights on the ceiling.

Bedrooms

The bedroom is decorated in subdued pastel shades for a cozy atmosphere and comfortable rest. The central element is a light double bed with soft upholstery. Next to it are two bedside tables with two drawers each, as well as a crib for the baby, as the family has a small child. Among the bedroom furniture is also a small dressing table with an oval mirror above it, a spacious cabinet for storing bedding, clothes, etc.

All furniture is in white shades, which pairs well with the light walls and brown wooden floor. Lighting includes:

  • a central pendant chandelier of circular shape with glass elements and a golden insert;
  • two pendant lamps above the bed in the form of neon rings;
  • neon backlighting along the mirror’s contour.

During the day, more natural light can be let into the bedroom. Elegant wallpapers help regulate this. Blackout fabric allows the room to be fully shaded if there is a need for privacy and to avoid excessive heating. The overall composition is complemented by a painting depicting a branch and leaves.

Conclusions

Despite the large area of the house with a significant number of rooms, we managed to maintain a consistent line in the interior design both in colors and geometric shapes. Bright colors are not used in the rooms, but golden inserts on the furniture and lighting fixtures compensate for the lack of accent hues.

In the classic interior, there are not many intrusive elements, which does not prevent it from meeting modern standards. The main emphasis is on functionality – the presence of all components needed by the homeowners for comfortable living and receiving guests.
