The private apartment in the residential complex “Republic” belongs to an energetic young couple. Therefore, the decision was made to create a modern interior combining white and black colors. To add extra coziness, wood texture was used. It is reflected in the flooring, bathroom walls, and kitchen cabinetry. It harmoniously blends with the black and white color scheme.
We have an apartment with a total area of 69 square meters. It consists of the following functional rooms:
To separate the rooms from each other, four interior doors with a black frame were used. The door leaf is complemented with white MDF baseboards. The flooring is finished with beige vinyl, stylized as oak. The restroom has gray porcelain stoneware, and the bathroom features brown MZ TREVERKLOOK ceramic tiles.
The following components were used for wall decoration in the rooms:
For ceiling decoration in all rooms, matte stretch ceilings were used. The design features places for integrating LED lights.
The kitchen and living room are presented in a single space, so the question arose of effectively dividing them into different zones. In the living room, there is a dining table of 120*80 cm completely black for four people. Gray chairs with low backs are used for seating. The overall decor is standard – gray colors of the ceiling and walls blend with oak wooden flooring and black accessories. A gray soft corner sofa, a coffee table, and a column are also present. All these elements are maintained in black shades.
The kitchen deserves special attention as it is highlighted as a distinct zone. The following elements were used in the kitchen area:
In the kitchen space, all necessary elements for a modern family are present – the black matte kitchen unit integrates an induction cooktop with four burners, a sink with a mixer, and an oven. Closed cabinets for storing various equipment and dishes are located above. A socket for connecting various household appliances is present on the work surface.
A functional white wardrobe has been moved to the hallway. It is made of MDF with matte painting, containing sections for the organized integration of a washing machine, ironing board, boiler, iron, and other necessary elements. The wardrobe is illuminated by two point LED lights with a temperature of 4000K.
In the bedroom, gypsum panels in black and gray colors were used to decorate one of the walls. There is a relaxation area with a wall-mounted LCD TV and a black shelf beneath it. A mirror made of aluminum profile with LED backlighting, and bedside tables made of MDF with matte facades are present.
The basis of the bedroom is a double bed sized 220*190 cm. Above it are two spotlights; on the side are wall-mounted nightstands and a socket for maximum convenience. A spacious white wardrobe has sections for outerwear, shoes, linens, and many other items.
In the home office, there is a large black desk with a spacious top to accommodate two people. Next to it is a complete storage system with backlighting, open shelves, and closed drawers. Additionally, there is a brown sofa to allow for relaxation away from work.
Next to the home office is a cozy loggia. Here is a mini sofa with a coffee table next to it, a metal hanging structure for flowers, and a chair. Under the window is a spacious windowsill with black trim, providing ample space for placing various accessories.
The bathroom is decorated with Agrenta Ceramica Storm Grey and MZ. TREVERKLOOK HONEY tiles, while black porcelain stoneware tiles Agrenta Ceramica Storm Grey are used in the bathroom. The restroom features a shower cabin and a suspended toilet. The bathroom contains a sink, above which is an oval mirror with LED backlighting. A shelf for conveniently placing various cleaning supplies and body care products is present.
For unobtrusive yet effective room lighting, spotlights were chosen. They are complemented by built-in magnetic tracks, linear lights, spots, and pendant lights. All these components have the same color temperature – 4000K. Cold white light is considered optimal for humans, as it does not strain the eyes. The lights are installed in such a way as not to overcrowd the space.
A cozy atmosphere has been created in the space using just a few tones. There is a common line in the design of the ceiling, floor, and walls, which is punctuated by several special components for different zones. All furniture is functional and ergonomic, allowing for compact storage of most items and household appliances.
