Modern renovation in a 45-square-meter apartment demonstrates how all the clients’ wishes can be realized to create a real home, not just a place to live. The project was completed by Halfee from scratch: from renovation to furniture, taking into account modern interior design trends and the maximum functionality of every corner.
One of the key elements of this renovation was the installation of an inverter, which ensures a constant power supply even during outages. This solution allows for light and working appliances regardless of external factors. The electrical panel is hidden in a hallway closet, making it invisible to the eye and preserving the aesthetics of the space.
When designing, the Halfee team always considers such engineering nuances, because interior design is not only about beauty but also practicality. A turnkey renovation involves a comprehensive approach where every detail is thought out to the smallest point. That is why even during the filming, when there was no power in the building, the apartment remained fully lit and comfortable.
The kitchen-living room turned out spacious and bright despite the general compactness of the apartment. An accent wall in the dining area is made of decorative 3D gypsum panels with a geometric diamond pattern, creating visual interest and adding warmth to the interior. Three pendant lights in the shape of textured glass spheres on golden rods are located above the dining table.
A large white oval dining table compactly accommodates three people and harmoniously combines with chairs on white legs with gray soft seats. Space zoning is implemented using a high rack with open shelves that separates the kitchen from the living room. This rack is equipped with internal LED lighting and serves as both a decorative element and a functional divider.
Special attention should be paid to the lighting in the relaxation area: it is designed so that you can take a book from the shelf and enjoy reading without straining your eyes. Angel figurines, books, decorative objects, and plants are placed on the shelves of the rack, personalizing the space. It is these details that make an interior a home, rather than just a beautiful picture from a magazine.
The kitchen set combines two types of facades: the upper cabinets feature a wood texture, while the lower ones are matte light gray without handles. This combination creates visual contrast and adds depth to the space. The white countertop contrasts with the black built-in sink and matte black faucet, forming a modern, minimalist look.
Since the apartment is small, the clients’ request was for maximum storage space. Therefore, many small cabinets are provided in the kitchen, where all things are stored neatly. LED lighting is installed under the upper cabinets, providing comfortable illumination of the work area. The hob is built into the countertop, with a coffee machine and other appliances located nearby.
Furniture production by Halfee allows for the creation of individual solutions that fit perfectly into a specific space. Everything is executed in pastel tones, as requested by the clients. The kitchen has become the true heart of the apartment — a place for all conversations and gatherings.
In the bedroom, a large gray corner sofa serves as the main sleeping place. This decision was made due to the limited area and the desire to use the space during the day not only for rest. The sofa is complemented by a fluffy throw and textile pillows, creating a cozy atmosphere.
The wall behind the sofa is decorated with decorative moldings in the form of inserts to diversify the interior. Vertical lights with backlighting are installed on either side of them. An air conditioner is located on the wall above the sofa, and an original 6-lamp fixture is on the ceiling.
A large storage area for clothes is designed not to “eat up” the room’s space. A corner sliding-door wardrobe occupies the entire wall from floor to ceiling, featuring light facades with black vertical line-handles. This option provides the most storage space while looking as inconspicuous as possible. An additional area for storing small items is also provided.
The TV stand opposite the sofa is a long wall-mounted unit, white with black accents, with the TV placed above it. A light rug with an abstract pattern is laid on the floor, adding texture and comfort. The curtains are double: light tulle for daylight and thick brown ones for complete darkness.
Although the bathroom is small, it accommodates everything necessary. It is designed in a light palette with wood accents. A large mirror surface from the ceiling to the countertop visually expands the space. The upper cabinets have mirrored facades, while the lower ones are matte light with integrated handles.
The countertop under the washbasin is white, with a rectangular built-in sink. LED lighting is installed under the mirror and in the niches above the cabinets, creating a pleasant atmosphere. A hygienic shower is hidden on the wall next to the wall-hung toilet.
The shower area is separated by a glass partition with a metal profile. It features a modern shower system with a rain shower head and a hand wand. The floor and walls of the shower are tiled with wood-look tiles, continuing the overall concept of the interior.
The washing machine is built into a niche with overhead lighting, and a woven laundry basket is placed nearby. This solution allows for hiding appliances and maintaining the aesthetics of the room.
The balcony has been transformed into a full-fledged utility zone with storage cabinets. Light-colored upper and lower cabinets have open shelves in the middle where books, decorative items, and baskets are placed. A clothes dryer and an ironing board are installed on the balcony.
This is where all the visual noise is hidden: clothes are dried, and household appliances are stored. Blinds on the windows allow for light regulation and hide the contents from outside view. This use of the balcony frees the main rooms from non-aesthetic elements.
It is important to note that at the time of filming, the clients were already living in the apartment. This allowed us to see how the space fills with life and becomes a real home. The apartment turned out vibrant and cozy; it breathes. Being here is a pleasure, as everything is thought out to the smallest detail and executed exactly as the clients wished.
Pastel tones, warm lighting, wooden accents, and numerous storage zones create an atmosphere where you want to stay. This is the result achieved when renovation is performed by professionals who understand not only the technical aspects but also the needs of the residents.
This renovation demonstrates how a fully comfortable home with all necessary zones can be created in 45 square meters. Key principles applied in the project:
